Victoria Textil: Online Store for a Bed Linen Workshop

A new online store for Victoria Textil, a Chișinău workshop that sews its own bed linen, in Romanian and Russian. Shoppers pick a color by its swatch, pay by card or cash on delivery, and choose their town from Poșta Moldovei’s own list, so staff book the courier with one button instead of retyping each order into the carrier’s portal.

A shop her own team can run.

We built Victoria Textil a hand-coded WooCommerce theme, Romanian by default with a full Russian twin, and cut the admin down to what a shop needs: products, orders, stock, and one settings page for the phone, address, opening hours, and offer bar. Her team adds every product in both languages.

The shop: filters for category, color, and price, where every color count follows the other choices.

A product page: one swatch per color, swapping the photo and the stock line.

From a reel to the cart.

Shoppers who find Victoria on Instagram arrive on a phone, so the shop is laid out for one: the price on every card, filters in a panel that slides in from the side, and a checkout that asks for an address only when there is a parcel to send.

Two languages, two real catalogs

Her team writes every product in Romanian and in Russian, never machine-translated, and the site moves a Russian product saved under Romanian to the right storefront by itself.

An admin that is hard to break

Staff see the shop and nothing else. The control that would silently turn a Romanian product into a Russian one is locked, while the button that adds a translation stays.

Colors you can see

Swatches instead of a “choose an option” dropdown, on the product page and on every card, in the colors her team sets in the admin.

Photos go up as they are

The site makes WebP copies sized for each screen, which took the images of the homepage’s bestsellers from 2.9 MB to 66 KB.

A checkout that asks less

One field for the full name, a clear choice between delivery and pickup, and address fields only when something is being delivered.

02 Design & Conversion

Designed so the linen sets the color.

Warm white, ink, and one teal accent, with Lora headings over Manrope. Every other color on the page belongs to the products, so a shopper sees the true shade of a set, not the site’s.

Key UX decisions

  1. 01

    Trust in the first screen

Right below the opening photo: her own workshop, delivery across Moldova, payment on delivery, and a shop in the city center.

  2. 02

A shop you can walk into

The address on Strada Columna, the phone, and the opening hours sit on the homepage, with an open invitation to come and feel the fabric.

  3. 03

    The price on every card

Every product card shows its price, so nobody has to open a product just to learn what it costs.

  4. 04

    Her voice, not a catalog’s

The Romanian copy talks to the shopper as a friend would, just as Victoria writes on Instagram, not in catalog language.

03 E-commerce

Card, cash, and a courier booked with one button.

The two services her shop runs on, wired into WooCommerce: Moldindconbank for card payments and Poșta Moldovei’s Curier Rapid for delivery.

Card payments that fail safely

Moldindconbank’s own gateway, with a safety net we built around it: a refused payment keeps the shopper on the checkout, with a clear message and a full cart, instead of a dead end.

Delivery priced from the official tariff

The cart prices delivery from Poșta Moldovei’s published Curier Rapid tariff, for Chișinău or the rest of the country, before the shopper reaches the checkout.

Addresses the courier accepts

The carrier books a parcel only against its own list of 36 districts and 1,816 localities, so the checkout offers exactly that list instead of a box to type in.

One button, one parcel

Staff book the shipment from the order screen, print the label, and follow the parcel, instead of retyping each order into the carrier’s portal. The shopper gets the tracking number by email.

Pickup, or orders from abroad

A shopper can collect in person at the shop with no address to fill in, and an order from abroad is paid by card, with the delivery quoted afterwards.
